Cinderella Chess SetCinderella spent her days  sweeping the hearth and waiting on her evil stepmother and two plump  stepsisters. When the prince’s parents decide to throw a ball so that he  can find a wife, everyone is excited about attending this special  event, especially Cinderella’s stepmother, who hopes he will choose one  of her daughters. Poor Cinderella is laughed at when she asks to go and  left at home.

While crying as she sat among the cinders on the  hearth, a fairy godmother appeared to Cinderella. With a whisk of her  magic wand, a beautiful gown and glass slippers appeared in place of her  rags. Another whisk of the wand and a pumpkin and mice were transformed  into a coach and coachmen. Off to the ball went Cinderella with the  warning to be home by midnight, for that is when the magic spell will  end and

Cinderella was the most beautiful girl at the ball and  danced with the prince who was enthralled with her. All too soon, the  clock was striking midnight and Cinderella had to run away as fast as  she could. She ran so fast, she lost one of the glass slippers. The  prince was devastated and searched the land high and low for the owner  of the glass slipper. Of course, he did find her and they lived happily  ever after.
